Siquijor

Discover the mystical island paradise of Siquijor, also known as "the Island of Fire" which refers to the eerie luminiscence produced by swarms of fireflies nestled among the foliage of molave trees.

From Dumaguete City, it's a quick one hour trip via fastcraft to the capital town of Siquijor where the St. Francis de Assisi Bell Tower & Convent is located. If you wish, you can stop at a local restaurant for breakfast, before going to the San Juan de Capilay Spring. Next is a quick stop at the Coco Grove Beach Resort, one of the first resorts in the island which has a wide beachfront.You will then proceed to the historical town of Lazi, where the St. Isidore Labradore Church and the refreshing Cambugahay falls are found. Packed lunch is at the popular Salagdoong Beach in Maria. Following is a rolling tour of the quaint coastal towns of Enrique Villanueva and Larena, before heading back to the Siquijor town for some souvenir shopping. Return trip departs either at three or at half past five in the afternoon

Siquijor

You can drive leisurely around  Siquijor in one hour and thirty minutes and you can do a short cut from one end to the other if you  cross the low mountains(highest peak is only 557 meters above sea level) that paints the skyline of the island. Seventy five kilometers of asphalt and concrete roads run around the coastline , macadam roads cut across the hills and mounts and connect to each other.
